Rough sleepers ‘should not be arrested just if they smell’, says UK minister
Gillian Keegan appears to join growing band of Tory MPs with misgivings about proposals in flagship crime bill
Of course the tories abolished rough sleeping 2 years ago. Now they just want these people out of sight.
They make no provision to provide shelter or support for them. They just want them out of sight.
What they do with them once arrested is anybodys guess. There are no prison cells to put them in. The govt is currently releasing criminals to free up spaces.
Of course we have long since given up hope of joined up thinking. Such is Conservative britain. Victorian values at work.
