Ukrainian grain was being used by the UN to feed the hungry throughout the world ... but today this area is fighting a war ... grain shipments have ended, so the UN is using United States tax-payer money to buy grain from any source they can ... to feed the folks who depend on Ukrainian grain ...

Otherwise ... bumper crops crash prices ... supply and demand ...

May I suggest another article describing how farming is done in Western Australia ... that's generally considered the very first continent material to bubble up from Earth's interior ... and as such the soil is all but spent ... do you expect us to believe this area produces anything of value ... say compared to California? ...

California has flood warnings up everyplace ... reservoir are mostly above historical averages ... plenty of water there ...

California has "big ones" on a regular basis ... 1989 World Series comes to mind ... that's not a subduction zone, so their earthquakes are quite mild compared ...

California is new ground, less than 100 million years old ... still fresh and fertile ... it's the ground that's been exposed to the elements for billions of years that are spent ...
