For me 8 years of constant sever pain and at no time did I want suicide. Was I a burden to a family member yes fora short time but in the past I helped them many times. It is what families do. It also gave us a chance to have a nice long talk and get things cleared up. So God has a reason for everything that happens even pain.

I don't understand the opposition to voluntary life termination, as long as it does not involve mental or emotional disturbance. Current practice seems to be keeping people alive until they lose the ability to decide for themselves.

You know what’s sad?… having to continue living a life of pain, suffering and despair; physical or mental; because you know that ending it will put your family in a situation where they will suffer because of your decision.

I am very sorry to hear of your plight. The entire human race is suffering to some degree or other, I just think as a baseline society should lean towards helping people through their pain, both mental and physical, rather than telling them to kill themselves.

It's like the whole transgender issue. Sure, some will want to have the surgery regardless, but telling kids in school to embrace it has caused gender confusion to go up some 4000%, when most would have never had to go down that road and probably lived decent and normal lives if they had never been exposed to the power of suggestion coming from the state.

I thank you for the thought and concern, even though it is unnecessary. I knew my life would not be one of sunshine and rainbows from an extremely young age. I have mostly accepted that over the last half century. It just is what it is.

I have to disagree with your suggestion that Society should be helping people through their issues. Most of those issues were caused by the people themselves, one way or another and I’m a strong believer in Consequences.
