LAHORE: Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Central Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that all sections of the society besides government will have to play their role for complete elimination of terrorism and extremism from the country.

Addressing a meeting of mosques’ imams under Wafaqul Masajid Pakistan (WMP) on Friday, he said mosques and madaris (religious schools) were playing their role against extremism and terrorism and fixation of responsibility of terrorism on them was not right.

Ashrafi said the “Payam-e-Aman Convention” to be held on February 8 would decide a comprehensive, effective and unanimous strategy against terrorism and extremism.

I'm hoping they have some interesting articles after the convention is held.
