Ashlii receives Military Honors

Right, and that intruder, breaking a window into YOUR home, could possibly be NO THREAT........but FAFO, you could 'Just Arrest the intruder' right?

Either way, she was warned by people on HER SIDE of the window she breached.
Why did she continue. Clearly, on the video, a guy on her side shouts multiple times...."Gun, he has a GUN."

There was a lot of noise going on. It was clearly murder like I said she could have been arrested at any point. That was some authoritarian totalitarian bullshit that you are defending. I don't Care if you live like that, but I don't want to Why don't you go live in Russia Cuba or Venezuela if you like that kind of crap dipshit. What a failure you are

What......care to explain.
I know it's hard for you types, but try.
Just stating what I saw on the video. Your memory doesn't have to be very good when you tell the truth. I know it's difficult for you types to understand much that's real.

She was an "alleged" insurrectionist, as she was never arrested, indicted, much less convicted.

Byrd decided to kill her in cold blood rather that give her due process.
Babbitt crossed the line.
The line she was ordered to stop at.
She chose otherwise.
FAFO....it's that simple.

Truth is in the video.
She was ordered to stop, even her own side screamed..."Gun, he has a Gun."
FAFO.

The truth is the government admitted they were in the wrong, and paid a massive settlement to the woman's family.

So there is no doubt she was in the right, in spite of what you might think.

How authoritarian of you. That is not how we act in America you fool.

That doesn't justify her murder. The truth is in the video, you got that right.

Nope, not an intelligent response.
Try again.

MAGA is your Superior intellectually. You have failed in your response to the Babbitt murder and shown your stupidity. You are of a failed ideology. Must be your upbringing.

I'm sorry, Blisty, I have not been following this thread very closely so I must have missed it--- just what has attracted so many boorish, begrudged pinheads to this thread?

Is it the fact that poor Ashli is finally getting the recognition she deserves?

Or is it because this moves that murderous, cowardly bum officer Byrd ONE STEP CLOSER to his eventual (and long overdue) hearings, conviction and sentencing?

she was on the other side of the door, no weapon in sight, and even had she breached the door, there was still a make-shift barricade to contend with.

no reason for lethal force at the point he shot.
From all appearances, the make-shift barricade was put into position in order to prevent them from being able to push the door open. It was absolutely ineffective for preventing access to anyone person who opted instead to attempt the breach via the broken-out window.

If the result was the same, it would be murder. Your "what if" is absolutely irrelevant. Michael Byrd should be convicted and jailed for the summary execution murder of an unarmed, trespasser. Trespassing is not a capital crime.
Nobody murdered Ashli and when she was shot she wasn't simply "trespassing":

🔹 Trespassing

  • Definition (general): Entering or remaining on property without lawful permission.
  • Key Features:
    • Usually involves no force or damage to property.
    • Can be as simple as stepping onto private property (like someone’s lawn) after being told not to, or staying in a public building after hours without authorization.
    • In D.C., basic unlawful entry/trespass is covered under D.C. Code § 22-3302 (“Unlawful entry”).
  • Penalty Range: Often treated as a misdemeanor unless aggravating factors apply.

🔹 Breaking a Window to Gain Access

  • Definition (general): Using force to gain entry into a property you’re not allowed to access.
  • Key Features:
    • The act of breaking a window (or door, lock, etc.) upgrades the conduct beyond “trespassing.”
    • This becomes burglary, destruction of property, or forcible entry, depending on jurisdiction.
    • In D.C.:
      • Destruction of property (D.C. Code § 22-303) for breaking the window.
      • Burglary (D.C. Code § 22-801 et seq.) if the entry was made with intent to commit another crime (e.g., assault, obstructing Congress).
  • Penalty Range: Felony-level, with higher sentences because it involves force and potential danger to occupants.

🔹 Purpose of Entry Matters

Breaking into a restricted area to confront Congressional representatives adds another layer:
  • Intent elevates the offense: if the intent is to interfere with official duties, obstruct government business, or intimidate officials, the charges can escalate.
  • For Jan. 6 defendants, the most common charges were:
    • 18 U.S.C. § 1752: Unlawful entry or disorderly conduct in a restricted federal building.
    • 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2): Obstruction of an official proceeding (felony).
    • 18 U.S.C. § 1361: Destruction of government property.
    • Assault-related statutes if violence was directed at officers or staff.
