Ashli Babbitt (killed J-6) Lawsuit Settled, Family to Be Paid Nearly $5 Million

You aren't reasonable.
A cult never is.
That's a non sequitur and an unsupported assertion. If you think I'm unreasonable, then prove it. Cite exactly what I wrote that you believe is unreasoned and explain how you came to that conclusion.

A insurrection is going on, windows and doors being smashed and a window gets smashed through, target practice Babbitt goes though, AFTER being warned by a man holding a gun.

If a person breaks your window and proceeds to enter your house and you have a weapon, what would you do?
:icon_rolleyes:

That's a false analogy because my house is not a public building. So that argument is a non-starter. It's just plain ******* stupid.

If Byrd had a reasonable suspicion that little unarmed Ashley was breaking the law, he could have simply arrested her. Instead, he executed her. Shooting her was extremely excessive force. It was murder.

Rather than affording her due process, he made himself judge, jury and executioner.

The first time I went to the Capitol, tourists could walk right in. A few decades later I had to get a pass from my congressperson`s staff. Did Babbitt have a pass?

I don't know whether she had a pass. I never had to have a pass when I visited DC. Did anybody ask her for a pass? Is there video of anyone asking for a pass?

Does lack of a pass justify deadly force?

There`s plenty of signs telling people Authorized Personnel only, but shame on the Capitol Police for assuming that cult members can actually read. Deadly force on the Capitol steps, no. Actually, in the building, yes. She wasn`t there to collect autographs of Senators and Congressmen/women. One of the goons was carrying gallows. This shit had your approval?

She was not carrying gallows. She was unarmed. She was not a threat.

She was there to exercise her 1st amendment right to peacefully gather and petition the government for redress of grievances.

The pigs did not only murder Ashley, they also murdered another girl outside.

Murder while under color of law. That's a death penalty case.

I protested the Vietnam War on the Capitol grounds, but none of us thought that trespassing in a highly restricted area was a good idea. She chose suicide.

You're ******* stupid.

The capitol building was closed to the public.
Even if it was open....
If the police tell you to leave, you leave.

Arrest her?
And take her where?
Rather than affording her due process, he made himself judge, jury and executioner.
Too funny.

Babbitt HAD "due process" she was told, like all the others to leave.
She didn't.

Which party opposes every boost in the minimum wage?

It is unreal that this copper was not even brought up on manslaughter charges. he got to use is black privilege card I guess.

The Trump administration will pay a $4.975 million settlement in the lawsuit over the wrongful death of Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by a U.S. Capitol Police officer after storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Babbitt — a 35-year-old from California and veteran of the Air Force who went to Washington for President Donald Trump’s rally — was among an early group of rioters that reached the doors of the Speaker’s Lobby, adjacent to the House chamber, while lawmakers were still evacuating.

....Details of the settlement were released by Judicial Watch, a pro-Trump advocacy group that represented her estate and family members in the lawsuit. The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to request to comment. "Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit against the federal government on behalf of Ashli Babbitt's family..." he continued. "The settlement should be finalized within the next few weeks. So it's great news for justice for Ashli Babbitt, and I can tell you, justice for Ashli can't come soon enough. So we're looking forward to getting this done. Thank you."

(It is not) clear is why the Capitol Police officer who shot an unarmed woman, Michael Byrd, has not received so much as a reprimand for what appears to be a bad shoot. Byrd was investigated and cleared by local and federal authorities and has received no disciplinary action.

For the love of justice, Ashli's family got paid a ton of money. Let's not forget this wonderful woman who was murdered by then Lt. Byrd.

She was murdered by a trigger-happy Barney Fife idiot cop who should be in prison for that crime.

His job is to protect our elected officials no matter what party they belong to. Trump`s goons brought gallows with them. That`s not murderous intentions? :icon_rolleyes:
So the best you can do is show yourself to be a bigot with your language. Congratulations
