I think it's safe to assume that the Turk government knew nothing about the coup. Had they known the perpetrators would've been taken care of before it happened. A coup needs to be a secret before it starts.

I think that Erodogan is no ally of ours. He has steadily been bringing Turkey backwards to Islam. It would be better for us if he was removed from power.
