As Trump makes false claims about hurricane relief, White House calls it ‘poison’

'The White House, with Biden leading the charge, has spent days condemning Trump for spreading false claims about the disaster response. Among the misinformation: Trump alleged that federal funding was being redirected to aid people in the country illegally and that disaster relief was capped at $750. Biden clarified that the $750 figure refers to an immediate disbursement intended to cover urgent needs, such as food, diapers and baby formula.

"That $750 that they're talking about, Mr. Trump and all those other people know it's a lie to suggest that's all they're going to get," Biden said during his address on Thursday. "It's just bizarre. They got to stop this. They're being so damn un-American with the way they're talking about this stuff."'

That doesn’t happen without phone calls, skippy.

After being without power for 4 days, I guess I can say, it didn't happen near fast enough, with or without phone calls, puppy.

Ice didn't get provided until yesterday (4 days after the power went out), and that was outside WalMart. I still don't know if the government had anything to do with that. I do know that it took long enough for all of our food to spoil, and get thrown out.

'A White House memo criticized Republicans’ claims that hurricane money was spent to house illegal immigrants, which it described as “bald-faced lies.”
[…]
Harris does not disburse FEMA funding as vice president. The claim about using disaster relief funding to house immigrants is false, a Washington Post fact check found.
[…]
Trump, however, did move money from FEMA as president: He diverted nearly $10 million in funding to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to use for detention programs in 2018. In 2019, his administration redirected millions more from the disaster fund to ICE, including $38 million in the middle of hurricane season.

Trump also came under criticism as president for his responses to certain natural disasters, including Hurricanes Irma and Maria. His administration also rolled back more than 125 environmental regulations, including flood standards and measures aimed at curbing climate change factors that can drive extreme weather.'

Money is not being stolen from FEMA and given to ‘illegals’ – Trump lies about hurricane relief.
Truth matters

If you want to accuse Trump of saying wrong things you need to post/quote HIS words here, not Biden's.

You did get power, right? So someone must have been doing something. Four days in a natural disaster isn’t that long a time.

Easy for you to say. Go ahead and throw out $200 worth of food, and come back an tell us how "long a time" it is.

What happened to your generator? Doesn’t sound like you planned for anything. Anywhere that power can be sketchy demands backup, so you don’t have to wait for a government handout!

People who live in 3rd floor apartments, can't have generators. Welcome to the real world.

Also, you want to pay for a generator for me ? How about the other 104 apartments in my building ? No one has a generator here. Let's get the "handout" from YOU, since it's YOUR idea.

Nothing is ever your fault, but FEMA has to be perfect?!
