Even after this, the cult will not understand what Trump is doing with his tariff announcements. This is how you get people to the table without rolling over, exposing your belly, and begging for mercy, i.e. the way Obama and Biden "negotiated" everything.

On to the next one you people won't understand.

This is exactly what Trump has done. On/off with the tariffs.

Exactly, because they are intended to bring pressure on another nation to lower their tariffs. If/when they do, our tariffs can also be lowered. I don't understand why people apparently think tariffs are going to last forever just because the ones other countries impose on us do.

Side question, why is Canada silent on the tariffs China has imposed while shrieking bloody murder and posturing about American tariffs?

These were tariffs that Trump had previously negotiated.

Right, and things change. We can adapt to changing circumstances, after all.

Sorry, is this how you do something like this?

Trump said a person would have to be a moron to have signed this agreement. I suppose it is if you are that moron.

Funny, you never mentioned it before. Canadian tariffs on American goods have been in place for decades (possibly centuries even).

Of course.

Canada to impose 25% retaliatory tariffs on $21 billion worth of U.S. goods

Canada said Wednesday it will impose 25% tariffs on more than $20 billion worth of U.S. goods in retaliation for the Trump administration’s steel and aluminum duties that took effect overnight.

The new tariffs cover steel and aluminum, as well as other U.S. goods including computers, sports equipment and cast iron products, Canadian Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc said at a press conference.

They will take effect Thursday, LeBlanc said.

The new Canadian duties are on top of the 25% counter-tariffs that Ottawa slapped on $30 billion worth of U.S. goods on March 4, in response to President Donald Trump’s imposition of broad-based tariffs on Canadian imports.

Those tariffs remain in place, despite Trump issuing partial tariffs exemptions on March 6 following a severe stock market sell off.

Okay, so what? He's always looking for a better deal. Would you prefer he always refer to things he's done in the past as the greatest, most beautiful things ever done, never to be undone?

I know I've done some things that I look back on as being dumb, even important things.

Okay but I really wouldn't have cared if they had jacked up New York's electric rates

But but but but but the Trump tariffs will increase inflation, even though inflation just came down today.

If there is any actual evidence Canada is "ripping us off" please present it.

It's not working. He's just acting like a spoiled child over what he now believes was a bad decision on his part.

Progs are rigid. Like the Soviet Union's five-year plans. If the legislation Progs passed the first two years of Joe really worked, Trump would not be the President today. And you gave Trump 4 years to exact his response if elected as 47 when you would have been better off not giving us a questionable 2020 election as he will do ten times more and more than that then he could of if reelected in 2020.

We've had a 600 point, peak to trough reversal in the Dow this morning due to tariffs.

Thanks Don.

He has the right to do exactly that. No one ever said TRUMP! is not impulsive or not prone to outbursts. That's one reason why I wouldn't want to either work for him or live with him.
