much like Auschwitz and Birkenau these concentration camps don't last

PHOENIX (AP) -- Maricopa County's new sheriff announced Tuesday that he's shutting down a complex of jail tents that helped make his predecessor, Joe Arpaio, a national law enforcement figure.

Paul Penzone said at a news conference that the nearly 24-year-old Tent City complex will be closing in 45 to 60 days.

Tent City was not a "concentration camp." Gosh, don't let Unkotare know that term is being used here, or we will get hell on Japanese Internment for longer than the war lasted.

Good. Personally, I think it is cruel and unjust punishment to make someone live in the middle of the desert in a tent during summer. Temps there get up to 110 degrees.

At least give them a permanent shelter with ac like normal inmates get.
