Arizona Trump supporters have gotten themselves a new hobby in these last weeks of the 2022 elections: Showing up just outside the legally protected 75' perimeter around public ballot drop boxes in Maricopa County to watch voters turning in their ballots. Sometimes while sporting tactical vests and/or weapons. Sometimes while capturing videos of the voters that arrive or taking pictures of their license plates.

There are already surveillance cameras at Arizona ballot drop boxes, however, and those security videos are available online via the Maricopa County Elections Department itself. You can watch them while sitting on your couch!

What we have here, in the end analysis, is a group of Arizonans who have absolutely no lives. No common sense. No knowledge of how to defeat vampires, how to defeat mules, or how to defeat mules that are vampires or vampires that are mules. No other useful hobbies. these people, who are trapped in their decaying lives, their minds a humid fog of conspiracy theories, their family lives stagnant and merciless.
But what of these Americans, who have been exposed to Dinesh D'Souza at near-lethal doses?

At least they are already dressed up for Halloween. Clever costumes.

Nah, they are just making sure that no extra ballots magically appear.

Annoys the fuck out of you doesn't it!🤣🤣🤣

The worm turns. Every girlishly high-pitched squeal out of the leftist vermin when we do to them what they did to us is precious!

Isn't it just delicious, how they squeal and whine and actually expect us to have sympathy for them?

:)

Kinda like you, on this board, eh?

I have no problem with citizens setting up shop and watching ballot drop boxes, Democratic leaning citizens should be sitting along with them, as coworkers doing their civic duty... as neighbors.

This only can help ease the lies on stealing an election.

I do have a problem with brandishing guns or other armour, or hiding their faces,

or if done for intimidation, or to make any false accusations.

But know, also

Mail boxes are used to send ballots in as well.

Nothing stopping them.

Open carry is legal in Arizona.

Who claims they were 'brandishing'?

This is not what conservatives are doing, of course – it has nothing to do with ‘civic duty.’

This is about conservatives engaging in voter intimidation; this is an effort by the illiberal, anti-democratic authoritarian right to prevent voters of color from voting, perceived by Republicans as likely Democratic voters – something every American should have a problem with.

I realize that and if the non profits or PACs that pushed this idea had just made it a bipartisan effort, recruiting citizens from both sides, it could have been a worthy effort or if it became part of the election process, required to have one watcher from each party present...

Yes, the Re are doing this ONLY in counties with heavy populations of black Americans.

I DO KNOW these ideas of mine above, is NOT what is going on here!

The thing is, to do it right, and fair, is all parties participating....

AND all boxes watched, INCLUDING all mail boxes....

And that really is unfeasible, so that just supports this organized effort of Trumper politicos, appears to be with malfeasance.....

Ok for Black Panthers to stand outside the entrance of a polling place, but wrong for concerned citizens to set up at the legally prescribed distance?

Yall, yes you all on the right, made a huge huge huge over blown stink about it,

And they were brought in initially ...and charged for voter intimidation.... Due to your stink made about it.

The New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case was a political controversy in the United States concerning an incident that occurred during the 2008 election. Two weeks before George W. Bush left office, the New Black Panther Party and two of its members, Minister King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, were sued by the Department of Justice on claims of voter intimidation for their conduct outside a polling station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Obama Department of Justice later narrowed the charges against Minister King Shabazz and dismissed the charges against Jackson, the New Black Panther Party and its leader. The dismissals led to accusations that the Obama administration's Department of Justice was biased against white victims and unwilling to prosecute minorities for civil rights violations. These charges were most notably made by J. Christian Adams, who in May 2010 resigned his post in the Department of Justice in protest over the Obama administration's alleged mishandling of the case, and by his former supervisor Christopher Coates.

Counter-accusations were made, including claims that the actual incident was relatively minor but had been blown out of proportion by individuals and groups with primarily political motives. Then-Attorney General Eric Holder denied claims that his Justice Department considered the race of alleged victims or perpetrators when deciding which cases to pursue. The case and its handling by the Department were investigated by the United States Commission on Civil Rights which released its report regarding the matter in December 2010.[1] The Department of Justice's Office of Professional Responsibility released its report in March 2011.[2] The Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Justice released its report in March 2013.

People openly with fire arms, is intimidating. Pictures taken of you, while submitting your vote, is intimidating..... And then wake up the next morning with your picture and lies tweeted or social media viral-ized, is a bigger threat than guns!

and that is what should not be tolerated!

but legal, if distance is maintained.

Pictures taken of you, while submitting your vote, is intimidating.....

if you only drop one ballot per trip, no problem, more than one, the same is on you.

and hopefully law enforcement will look into the matter.

My state, it is legal to drop off ballots of a family member....in fact most all states allow relatives to drop off their family member ballots.

what do you propose this watcher do, if someone is dropping off more than one ballot?

what is the end result under your plan?

Government security cameras will never do anything to expose government corruption. They're no better than the cameras on Jeffrey Epstein's cell. It comes down to, if you want fair elections, you're going to have to police them yourself.
