Rabbi Simon Jacobsen discusses how technology and the media have allowed us to make the case our side is always 100% right, and the other side is 100% wrong, when in reality this is not true at all.
I hold the opposite position, but also wouldn't join.Neither. The Democrats allegedly fight for the things I value; the Republicans oppose them. But I wouldn’t join any political party...ever.

Yep. Now that "news" and "information" is essentially tailored to every individual, many people only get the stuff they want to get, and they don't search any contrary info out. Intellectual curiosity is dead for many. Critical thinking is dead for many.Rabbi Simon Jacobsen discusses how technology and the media have allowed us to make the case our side is always 100% right, and the other side is 100% wrong, when in reality this is not true at all.
Most issues don't require much thinking, much less 'critical thinking'. A good example of this would be a person experienced in putting things together often doesn't need to read the instructions. How to assemble the thing is obvious.Yep. And a lot of people are making a very good living taking advantage of that.

The healthcare/health insurance issue. All that is needed to solve it quickly is for the citizens to take better care of their health. The experts say that dramatic improvements can happen in as little as 21 days. As a "health freak" myself I can attest to this.Give us a major political issue that doesn’t require much thinking...

Sure, but does that really hold true anymore? Most issues don't require much thinking, much less 'critical thinking'. A good example of this would be a person experienced in putting things together often doesn't need to read the instructions. How to assemble the thing is obvious.
I don't know why it's so hard to talk to our kids. The best way to start is to ask them what they think about this or that. Parents can then assess their knowledge and attitudes and build from there. For example, the best way to begin the "sex talk" is to ask your kids what they know about it and go from there.Sure, but does that really hold true anymore?
I would have agreed, but then I would have thought that it was evident that we don't harm our children through sexualization and grooming, but here we are, at the hands of our own government, no less.
Antisemite! So who the **** is this guy that his opinion matters to anybody?
