A group of WNBA players has organized a professional BB league that plays in the Winter (traditional basketball season) in Miami. To make it more exciting they play 3-on-3, full court (a slightly smaller court), with shortened quarters - except that the fourth quarter ends when a scoring minimum is met. Interestingly, the teams are drafted before each season, in secret, and the rosters are revealed at one time (I think it was yesterday, 11/5).

The claim is that the league is valued at hundreds of millions of dollars, and the salaries exceed what the players make for their WNBA play. While the implicit claim is that it has "all the best" WNBA players, three standouts are missing, specifically, CC, AR, and A-Jay, all of whom declined invitations to participate.

I watched parts of a few games on YouTube, and it is more entertaining than typical WNBA play. Where they derive their revenue is not clear to me.
