First off I am far from rich, and very little chance to ever become rich. Military pensions just don't get you there.

Obama is getting us back on track? LOL that is almost funny if it weren't so tragic. Mr Obama promised that his stimulus plan would stop unemployment at 8%, it is now 10.2 and growing. Mr Obama has already spent more money we don't have than Bush did. And you call this on track?

Now if you have any proof of war crimes on President Bush or VP Cheney i am certain that Mrs Pelosi would love to have that proof. After all she spent all of 2007 trying to pin something on them. Retard.

If you believe that then you are truly part of the problem. People in the ghettos (those few who vote) have been voting for Democrats for 70 years. What has it got them? They are still in the same ghetto their grandfathers grew up in.

There are always going to be poor people. If you start your argument from an unrealistic position, then of course you win the argument, but don't act like you want to solve the problem of poor, because that goes against your whole capitalism schtick. You know there will always be poor. But your side didn't like unemployment being under 10% because that brought up wages. So your side fought to send jobs overseas and they are also the ones hiring the illegals or pushing for more foreign worker visas. Lower wages are your parties wet dream.

Unemployment was low in the 90's. The GOP couldn't send jobs overseas fast enough from 2000-2006. And slipped in loopholes so rich people could hide their money overseas.

Those ghetto's have less crime, poverty, unemployment because of liberal programs. Conservative programs strip the ghetto's of all financial aid. Is that how they teach them to fish?

Do you know the history behind Watts/Compton/LA? Used to be auto jobs there and they had a very strong middle class black community. JOBS. When those jobs left, that's when the gangs and drugs took over. Educate yourself with PBS or the History channel buddy.

And excuse me, but it was reagan, bush (clinton) and bush. The country has been run by GOP President's for 20 of the last 28 years. And Newt ran the Congress under Clinton. Black people loved Clinton, not Newt.

You suggest black people are stupid and don't make an educated decision? Is that it? You think they have Dem in their DNA? No. They have two eyes and they can read and they see what's going on.

And trust me, you have more in common with those poor black people than you do with Cheney. To Cheney anyways. And to me. Maybe you think you are a good old boy, but trust me, you aren't shit to guys like Bush/Cheney. Not rich enough. They worked against you, not for you.

I grew up in a rather poor mixed neighborhood, I moved back into it after being gone for 28 years within 2 years I had no choice but to leave it for the suburbs because of the stupidity of the people still living there, to include members of my own family. They and the neighbor hood were so much worse off than when I left it. And it was only 2 years after I left that Democrats were in total control of the area, and have been since 73. I see no improvements in any part of the city, and they have the highest city income tax in the State.

I made no statement about any mans color, as far as that goes I am color blind. In my immediate family we have Puerto Rican, White, Black, and Mexican. I do not tolerate racism in any form.

Actually, you should take the politics out of it. Replace liberal with selfish and conservative with compassionate.

Interesting irony eh? Conservatives are anything BUT compassionate, and liberals (in the truest sense of the word) are anything BUT selfish, as they wish to see everyone succeed.

Conservatives only want to see conservatives succeed.

Personally? I think we should have a party system more like Israel (I think they've got 45 right now).

Why? Simple.........it would help to fix the "us vs. them" mentality.

I don't think liberals expect EVERYONE to succeed. We certainly don't want socialism where everyone makes the same. We just want our middle class to be strong, big and prosperous. Its the only way the economy will be strong. Like in the 90's. And we don't like seeing college grads not being able to find work. We don't want our poor hungry, we don't want them working for below poverty wages and we don't want illegals bringing down wages. Stuff like that. So conservatives were in control from 2000 to 2006 and we saw their plan. Corporations do great but labor takes a step back. And they didn't apologize either. They said if we wanted to do better, start our own business'. So in their plan, labor/workers don't do well. And at first they argued that stuff like this wasn't happening, then when they couldn't deny it anymore, they argued that anyone not making a good wage is just lazy or under educated, or should go back to school. Excuse me, but millions of us went to college and got general business degrees in hopes that we could make more than $50k a year. But many of us are finding it hard to find jobs that pay that much. This is happening in every industry. Even IT people are having a hard time finding work.

I graduated in the 90's. I went thru the first Bush's recession and now this one. I just think that in the GOP's grand plan, they only want highly skilled or highly educated people making good money. I want bachelor degree people and people in unions to do well too.

And for a party that says they want to encourage small business and entreprenures, they sure don't get this healthcare debate.

Think about all the guys like me who might want to try to start our own business but one of the things that deters us is the year to 5 years that we might have to go without healthcare if we try to start our own business. What if something happens to me? Its not worth the risk. So because healthcare is so important, we settle for working for corporate America because at least we get healthcare with those jobs.

If you give everyone healthcare, maybe a lot more of us will take a chance and try to start our own business'.

I'm not going to deny that the people running Detroit are both a. Liberal and b. Democrats and c. doing a terrible job. Can't argue with you on that.

But they'd do a terrible job even if they were conservatives or republicans.

Its not their liberal ways that suck. Its their corrupt ways that are ruining the city.
