I'm beginning to realize this is the case. As I get older, my guy friends withdraw - they more and more attend to family matters, they focus inward, as is the case for most men.
The simple fact is: men aren't guaranteed a "sister circle" the way women are, meaning women inherently have societal power over men. Is this true? Is it a fact that as we get older, finding a girlfriend becomes more and more important and outsized in its role in our male lives?

Honestly, dude, I was married for quite a little while. Had kids, etc… They are now grown and are closer to me than the ex. This upcoming November will mark the 20th anniversary of my divorce: the happiest day of my life.

I have no interest in marriage or girlfriends, though I will seduce a drunk whoowah from time to time. I am at the happiest time of my life and my most financially successful. I am, for probably the first time in my life, happy and content.

My advice to you is to get a dog. No, I am not talking about the first chicken head to show interest in you. I am talking about a canine pal. They will love you if you gain weight, lose your hair, or act like an asshole. You just have to feed them and be kind to them. I have found that female dogs tend to be super sweet. I would recommend a female golden retriever.

I have 2 dogs and they are great companions! No matter how much of an a-hole I have been all day at work, when I get home they are excited as hell to see me.

No not true. A woman only has the power you give her over you. Men commonly have life long friends. Women are catty and rarely have life long friends. Your guy buddy will give you the truth of your actions. They help you check your self before you wreck yourself. Women just agree with their friends. They will tell a two they are a ten if it is their female buddy. Your guy friend will give you the straight deal.
