Are ‘scary’ mass deportations really necessary? Under a declaration of martial law can’t the Executive, in effect, create his own laws?

If one wants to know if someone is against illegal immigration, all one has to do is ask. Seems to me that most people rightly are.
If one wants to understand one of the primary concerns of voters in the presidential election, one can understand that one of the questions asked of democrats was their position on illegal immigration. One can see clearly that the democrat position on illegal immigration was one of no controls and importation of millions of illegals. Seems to me that most people rejected the democrat position.

The legal and technical question of illegal immigration tends to be a smokescreen for bigots and people who just want to keep the foreigners out. I don't believe BL, for example, really cares about immigration from a law and order perspective. His concern is that foreigners will come here and change the culture. They could be completely legal in all their actions, but he'd still be bitching about it. He's one of those people who gets angry if the people next to him in a restaurant are speaking Spanish, or if a business puts up signs in more than one language.

The legal and technical question of illegal immigration has to do with existing law. It also has to do with the health and safety of the legal population. Those unwilling to enforce the law are the bigots who put citizens in harm's way.

I'm all in on enforcing the law. But I'm not down with goon squads, roaming the streets scooping up brown people for interrogation, or any of the other police state, fascist crap that gives BL a hard-on.

Sure did.

Yes, yes. Your "core Americans" conceit. I really don't like to see you using "Americans" as a code word for insecure bigots. Can't you come up with something else?
Insecure bigot = Proud nationalistic Americans who expect sovereignty in a sovereign nation, who expect American culture to be preserved and protected by the keepers of the nation.

Remember when America was comprised of REAL Americans and ALL felt that way?

Of course you’re not, you’re not down to undo and solve the problem…you prefer things just the way they are.
