I would be shocked to see Trump end up behind bars, and I still don't expect him to be convicted of anything. His world is a bizarre mix of cult and Mafia family, and the chances of an untainted jury seem remote to me. I could easily be wrong, again, but I'm just assuming we're at status quo in 2024.

This doesn't look like it's going to be a brief and ugly blip in this country's history. It's looking more like it will be a longer and more painful period. Those who want to hang on to what America once was know how to work the system to do just that, and this is going to be a grind, and not a flip of a switch.

But there are two sides to this equation. Is the other side doing a good job of changing hearts and minds, or is it like Trumpsters, just trying to "beat" its "enemy"?
