Anyone watching the Olympics yet?

Yeah, our women's team is far better vs the world than our men's team.
I never even checked to see if they were women or men. Do the men also wear the white caps on their heads? Yes they do. This right now is men water polo down 11-6

Each team wears a different color. Yesterday the women's team had blue hats. Keep them from passing to the wrong team.

Yeah, our men got their butts kicked.

I do pay attention to medal count. We're in 5th right now.

So I do care if America wins the MOST medals. I'm not an animal.

Yeah, it is early. The medals in Diving and Road cycling were both unexpected so it is a good start for the US.

The two women from Bulgaria playing badminton right now are rather striking in appearance.

Just saying...

Turns out they are sisters.

That is pretty cool, competing in the Olympics with a sibling.

I have to say I have little desire to watch Olympic basketball.

Jokich is not nearly as good with Serbian teammates as he is with the Nuggets. He is still the best player in the world but is just overmatched against the USA.

I watched a bit of Nadal's match and I am happy he won his match and now we will have a Djokovic vs Nadal match in the Olympics.

I LOVE the Olympics. I do tho, like winter more the summer. The women's figure skating is the best. Ice dancing is also cool. :)

Good day for the US team. Picked up an unexpected Silver in mountain biking and sweep Gold and Silver in women's fencing

This is the one part of the Olympics I do not care for, watching the pros in it. I can see them all the time.

Now that I actually like.

BUT, I don't know how it works. Can you lose 1 game and still get gold? If so, I don't like that. They should have a tournament like the NCAA only if you lose, you fall into the loser bracket where you can still win a bronze. But one loss and you're out of the race for gold. I bet it doesn't work that way and I don't like that.

There is a play in phase where the top two teams from each group move on. You can lose and maybe still get in.

After that you cannot lose and still win a gold

It should be one loss and you fall to the bronze bracket. That's how it happened to me in wrestling. I was seated the worse because all the other guys had less than 10 losses and I had like 11 or 12 losses. So I lost right away and went to the loser bracket. Made it all the way to place where I was up on the podium.

But one loss and you can never win it all.

The only thing I would change is I would make the team who finish's 3rd play the team that finish's 2nd play each other for silver. I never liked it in wrestling that one other guy lost to the guy who won it all and he got a silver and I got a bronze. We both only lost once to the same guy. Why he goin home with silver? LOL

Tom Pidcock of England wins gold in mountain biking, he was trailing some guy from France towards the end and blew past him, they sideswiped and the French guy came out of his pedals. Pidcock was already the world champion and wasn't gonna miss Olympic gold.

Its fun watching Olympic BB now. In the past it hasn’t been. The Refs are allowing NBA style play. France v. Brazil the other day had so much traveling, carrying the basketball, etc... it was sad to see from a purist standpoint.
