I'd like to warn you. I subscribed to a year of membership at the ClubWPT...World Poker Tour. The cards which are dealt there are so obviously staged that it is more like a tutorial for beginning poker players than it is what I've seen during the lifetime of poker that I've played. 'Course I'm just 77 years old.
I played Texas hold'em for a couple years online.
I like poker
a lot but I can't find 4 or 5 other people who'd like to start up a friendly weekly penny-ante game.
My son is now entering for cash texas hold'em contests in Seattle.
Three touries -- one second place and one third.
Never played real life, so I doubt I really understand the game as well as I ought to.
Playing for no money online doesn't remotely describe a real game, I suppose.
Do I have tells, for example?
I don't know because nobody I played against could see me.
I expect I do, though.
I'm a dramatic kind of guy in RL, and people seldom fail to intuit my mood.
