I see, same old right wing talking points.
Doesn't matter that half the country can't afford to live here without a "Gubmint" handout, doesn't matter that with all the "cost saving" that outsourcing and automation provides business....it doesn't get any less expensive to live here.
You people are insanely brainwashed.
Yeah....you stopped listening a long time ago....a little over 30 years ago....and look where our country is today because of it. You've been sold a bill of goods called "trickle down" economics....Face up to your mistake in believing that bullshit.
Since Reagan implemented that huge lie, we've seen our debt exponentially increase, our ability to pay for that debt decrease in a HUGE way, the quality of life for the American people drop precipitously, and the folks that were already wealthy to begin with pay less into the system and get, ohhhh...what was the number? about 600% more in personal wealth and income out of it over the same span of time.
Why in the hell don't you guys understand? At the very least, you should have the critical thinking skills to QUESTION the validity of such a system. At a minimum, it just plan doesn't work....at the worst....it's a system of class warfare designed to give the wealthy dominion over everyone else. I think the reality is somewhere in between.
Talking points? Umm nope.
This is based on the belief that each individual should be permitted without interference to reach the highest potential to the best of his or her ability.
In what ways has the American standard of living or as you say, quality of life, "dropped precipitously"?...
You wrote....."Since Reagan implemented that huge lie, we've seen our debt exponentially increase, our ability to pay for that debt decrease in a HUGE way"...
So in your estimation expanding organized labor would counteract this "problem"?
The only thing to understand is to defeat unionism. Unions are businesses which create problems for business and workers. Unions COST jobs. They do this be making the cost of labor so expensive such that the unionized company becomes non-competitive with other firms doing the same type work.
yes, oh brainwashed one.....talking points.
I said in my OP....either the private sector has to start paying more, bring the cost for their products/services to consumers down, or yeah...bring back the unions to force them to.
How has the quality of life dropped precipitously? Are you ******* blind, man? many people who USED to have decent paying jobs now either unemployed or forced to take shitty, dead end jobs that pay next to nothing and no benefits.
Maybe that's your vision of America....grown people forced to work at TJMaxx or some convenience store, barely surviving, nothing in their savings, nothing for their kid's education, nothing for retirement and God forbid they get sick or injured.
You guys have a vision of America much like the Banana Republics in Central America. The wealthy holds all the cards, wipes out honest competition before it can even get started, and the workforce has no choice but to accept their shitty wages or starve.
Why do you hate the American people?
