You seem to hate this constitutional line:
The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States.
At least when that president is . . . not a Democrat.
Not sure how you believe that means he can do whatever he wants.
Something has bothered me with most of the discussions concerning Trump sending someone off to a prison while disregarding their civil rights. (Yes he did this and I will not argue anything otherwise).
The arguments go, once you allow due process to be stripped from one, it becomes easier to then do it to others. What bothers me is that ship has longed sailed.
It became public knowledge that Obama had targeted Al-Awlaki to be killed when found. He had people arguing that he had never received any Due Process and therefor could not have a sentence against him. No, he wasn't here but...
