Another look at "anti-semitism".

Since we're on this topic, the Semitic language of Amharic is spoken in Ethiopia, and the almost-extinct language of Aramaic is spoken by a few thousand Assyrians in Iraq and Turkey.

"Shalom aleichem" (peace be with you), in Hebrew, is almost identical to the Arabic phrase "Salaam aleikum." An Arab former co-worker of mine used to call me "Cousin."

Apparently this Wilhelm Marr was either not too bright, or laden with an extreme tunnel vision or both.

You two have much in common.

I imagine he was also stubborn, childish, and often made a fool of himself by doubling down on puerile arguments that only revealed his agenda.

I've mentioned some (not all) of what his agendas were. And none of them had to do with cogent lexicography.

Whether he himself knew the term was bullshitious as we do, we can only guess, but he did disown what it represents.

All of which reminds me of electrical engineering.

In the early daze of electricity science lab rats figured out that electricity seeks a balance by evening out electrons --- if there's a surplus of electrons "here" versus a relative deficiency of them "there", then given enough force a spark will jump from "here" to "there" to strike equilibrium (a lightning strike being the dramatic example). They named these poles 'positive' and 'negative' for obvious reasons.

Not at all long after they so named these poles they realized they had named them backwards. The surplus of electrons was what they were calling "negative" and the deficiency, the "positive".

So --- they corrected themselves, right?

Wrong. They stuck their collective head up their collective ass and stayed with the wrong nomenclature, meaning that everybody who studies electronics has to learn that "positive" and "negative" mean the opposite of what they mean, and it's still like that to this day.

Brilliant plan huh.

Indeed, and with Amharic being the second most spoken Semitic language after Arabic, it's possible -- didn't run the numbers --- that there are not only more Muslims than Jews speaking Semitic languages, there may be more Christians speaking Semitic than Jews as well.

There's another Semitic language, now extinct except for liturgical use, called "Ge'ez". I like that one, not for any characteristics of the language but just because "Ge'ez" is pretty much what I say when obtuse contrarians like Doggie follow me around. :laugh2:

That's so cute. For a pretentious little boy who tries to pretend he's quite the linguist, you certainly have no clue as to the meaning of the words you use.

In this situation, an actual contrarian would be trying to UNDERMINE the meaning of a term that has remained quite specific in its use for well over a century. I am acknowledging such meaning, so I am not the contrarian here.

I think you would be better served addressing the nature of a pineapple. I am awaiting your dissertation on why it cannot be a fruit because it cannot be an angiosperm and gymnosperm simultaneously.

So, there's a fact that in the US billions of animals are slaughtered every year, and the narrative of this is "meh, it's food", but in the Holocaust millions of Jews and others died, and it's considered a tragedy. Yet more animals die every year than Jews died in the Holocaust.

Now, Israel denies the Armenian Genocide, why?
You are a liar and a hater of Jews. Just an ordinary anti-Semite, nothing special.

Why is it so “normal” for people around the world to be anti-semites?

Because they're looking for it.

There is absolutely no purpose in re-defining the term "antisemitism" other than to hide or disguise the irrational hatred of Jews.

So would it be anti-Semitic to point out that two Jews in Congress, Feinstein and Schiller, asked another Jew, zuckerberg, to monitor and discredit non jews posts asking their government to realease the memo?
Or would it be simply factual?

You mean two liberal politicians asking a liberal businessman to discredit conservative posts?

Do you believe the word Jew is synonymous with liberal.

Do you think all Jews are liberal or all non-Jews are conservative?

Are you that simple-minded?

3 Jews who are horrified that they were born Jews.

Maybe not --- if you've done the same kind of analysis for all the various actions of the Lutherans in Congress... all the Presbyterians in Congress.... all the Methodists in Congress....etc etc. Then again I can't really guess why you'd do that either.

It would entirely depend on how often you bring up the ethnic and cultural background of other politicians and businessmen. Do you point it out when a politician of British descent asks a businessman of British descent to discredit the posts from Scotsmen? No? Why not?

This Will Make the Swastickers Swizzle

The Jews and Arabs have almost opposite characters. I conclude that the Hebrews adopted a Semitic language when they first entered the Middle East, but are genetically Aryan. The Arabs are Neanderthal hybrids.

"Opposite characters"? What, divergent orthography?

Wouldn't know but spoken language comes way before written. The latter has to follow the former, whatever orthography it uses.

Anti-Semitism Always Leaves a Yellow Stain

They're cowards who won't fight back against their ruling class, which itself pacifies them by making the Jews scapegoats. Anti-Semitism can be a thorough theory, because the oligarchs only have to describe what they themselves are doing behind closed doors and lay that on the Jewish decoys.

LOL.. So you asked the question and answered it for me? Ignoramous.

Actually, if you look, you will see I asked you three questions.
