She's had MS for a while. Normal life expectancy for US women is 78, so she actually did pretty good with the MS only talking 8 years off her life. It does seem odd, though, to think of these people dying of old age: Annette, Frankie, and the like. MS can be pretty tough. It may have been a release for her.

Another childhood memory is gone.

However, I am saddened to read she was in a coma for so long and I wonder why she was kept alive when obviously her brain shut down. What a horrible way to go.
