MAGA is no more forgiveable than fascism.
In the early 1930’s, an aging 87 year-old, Paul von Hindenburg, president of the German Weimar Republic relinquished his responsibilities to his Chancellor who suspended popular rights and declared himself dictator.
All post-WWI national ills were focused on Jewish Germans who were not considered true citizens. Immediately the Hindenburg’s replacement abused the Weimar Constitution to rid Germany of this “racial pestilence” through an Enabling Act. Four solutions to Germany’s problems were applied:
Solution 1) Ignore the Jewish people and hopefully they will go away (but of course as loyal Germans, they refused.)
Solution 2) Harass the Jewish people by bursting into homes in the night, closing shops, beating in the streets, separating them from their families, denying rights guaranteed in the Weimar Constitution such as freedom of speech, assembly, and worship. Hopefully they will deport themselves (but of course as loyal Germans, they refused.)
Solution 3) Arrest and incarcerate the Jewish people into concentration camps. Hopefully this isolation will protect true Aryan Germans from their racially inferior neighbors. Declaring a Third Reich (reign) with Holy Roman Empire as the First, the Second under Hohenzollern kaisers, and Nazi Germany as the Third, that will last a thousand years. Surely that will purify the racially superior German people (but of course, that didn’t.)
Final Solution 4) Exterminate the Jewish people in death camps.
In the 1930’s where were the Reichstag politicians and morally upright citizens who allowed all this to happen? Self-centered, racist, enamored by the Fuhrer’s personality, speeches, and military parades. People feared arrest and assassination by the secret state police (Geheime staatspolizei—Gestapo).
