An Interesting View of the US-Cuban Situations

This blogger spent the 90's in the State Department on Cuban relations and has a more than working knowledge of the situation. His novel, Havana Queen, has receives some great reviews.


Not sure about that, but opening up will most definitely have a positive long term impact on Cuban society, highly literate and well educated, with aspirations to better their and their childrens' lives like anyone else. Authoritarian regimes lose in the long run when their citizens are exposed to outside ideas through the free flow of information and commerce.


Blockades and sanctions never seem to work and appear to be nothing more than politicians playing to their audience.
