While Trump has yet to get a majority of the vote, the fact is that a pretty large swath of the country thinks he's real neat. They're willing to ignore/avoid/deny so many things about him that they must feel desperate.

And look to history: A desperate electorate has given rise to some of the most destructive regimes the world has seen. This ain't new.

Those of us who thought that America was better and smarter than this have to face that. And if the party that opposes him can't find a way to offer a more attractive alternative, then that's just too bad.

The political party (Democrats) that oppose Trump (and Conservatrives) mainly offers wealth redistribution over wealth creation and the best they have (and had for a few decades now) to offer is more socialism/communism wrapped in a veneer of deceptive description.

The future fate of USA rests upon how many of those who vote want to take wealth from their neighbors to satisfy their personal greed versus how many of the voters want opportunity to create for themselves, rather than steal from their fellow citizens (and future generations).
