American and European dance bands and vocalists from the 1920s 1930s and 1940s.....

My mother did all these dance's. A night club performer pianist singer, she could really put on a show for us kids, when she was reminiscing her old performances.

"Pardon My Southern Accent" Irving Aaronson and his Commanders 1934

Whispering - Red Nichols & His Five Pennies (w Miff Mole, Dudley Fosdick, Fud Livingston, Venuti)

I should go through some records. I got some 78s.
skye like that crooning more than me. My own preference is not falsetto and crooning.
Right now I'm listening to a clarinet with one of them plunger things from her last song.

Just cuz this rendition is newer does not mean the song is not older.

I swear to God my cousin did it better than this.
And her husband, too. I talked to her yesterday.
It all started when I bragged how my aunt (who was there, and we were having dinner)
could play "Sentimental Journey" so good. So after dinner, they did it proper. It was nice! Beautiful, even!
What time do we leave? 7. That's the time we leave, it's 7.
I need to find a better version. Dinah and Ella are great, but this is not their best?
Okay. this gets it. Les Brown Orchestra and Doris Day. 1946

^This is the standard my cousin and her husband had to adhere to. Yeah, good stuff! That's the real deal there.
They were good, but they weren't that. Not Les Brown Orchestra and Doris Day good.
Very good, nonetheless.
Omy, Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Shore is nice, too. Oh, they were good.

I'm happy with Dinah and Ella. It is what it is.
Dinah Shore, baby. She was alright.
Very talented. Jew! :aargh:
Nobody cared back then.
Ella Fitzgerald. Negro!
Very talented. Nobody cared.
It was all about the results.
They were awesome musical talents.
Every time I see all this antisemitic stuff, they're hating on Dinah Shore, and I loved me some Dinah Shore.
And they ain't got ary the musicality that she did, and that's fact. She's part of American history, who the **** are these commies?
