My only question is based on Obama's "questionable acquaintances" remark. If Obama were a white man or even a Republican would his friendships, acquaintances or even passing knowledge of these men even be an issue? Are John McCain's friends and associates so squeaky clean that he has room to disparage Obama based on the words and/or actions of people he may or may not associate with? are ANY of ours?

As for the experience question, well I say this, perhaps someone who hasn't had the opportunity to become jaded and set in their ways with decades of experience will be more open the possibility that it's not Americans job to save the entire world and we should be working on saving ourselves first.

Obama can't control what Rev White says anymore than McCain can control what Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly say and all three are stark raving lunatics! I have friends and family who I completely disagree with on their view of the world and politics, including my own sister who still believes that blacks and whites shouldn't date, should I stop associating myself with them or should I continue on so I can have open and honest discussions with them in the hopes that someday they may see things differently?

There are plenty of racist in the Republican party and I find it kind of funny that some are so up in arms about a black guy who happens to hate whites when this country, for decades, was overun with whites who hated blacks.

Has the white man ever been oppressed? Does the white man go into a store and immediately start to be watched? Do you move to the other side of the street when you see a white man walking towards you if it's getting dark outside? The reason whites (and blacks, too) move to the other side of the street is because statistics show blacks are much more likely to commit crimes. That's not "racism," that's REALITY. If blacks don't like that, they need to change their own behavior.
