ALONE series - it is...kind of boring now.

Why?
Why has the series focused away from kick ass survivalist blowing you away with their knowledge and skills to be a bunch of people crying, whining and complaining.
The show's producers stated they wanted to show more of the emotional toll if being alone in a harsh environment. Some producers felt the contestants were not struggling enough. So, according to reports, they cut kick ass scenes in favor of someone crying about missing their family.
For me, and apparently most, we want to see people be successful out there - not complaining and whining.

I dont think I watched that show so I only speculate. Often shows change gears due to decreased viewership and they are trying to extend the show and/or they pick up a particular sponsor who basically insists they try to attract a particular target market.

Regardless, once a show loses its creative spirit, like a rock band run by the label the appeal and beauty disappears.

Ahh - but that is not true.
Alone is one of the most consistent, stable high viewership for years.
I believe - that is going to change.
Season 12 was boring. It just was. We were watching it more out of love for the series than wanting to watch it.
If Season 13 is going to be equally boring - we won't stick with it. And we won't be "alone" on that.
