Bruce Willis is going to wish he could do it. But he's too far gone. And we as loveones won't do it. I was happy for my mom when she died of Alzheimers and I wouldn't wish her back in that condition, but I wouldn't kill her. Hell my dad would wish her back even in that horrible condition. That's a selfish love, but I get it. I wouldn't do that to her even though I'd like to kiss her one more time.

I think Robin Williams had what Bruce has so he killed himself. If he did, I don't blame him.

But don't expect your family is going to do it to you. And that means you'll have to go in way too soon for their liking. What should happen is that you sign up for euthenasia when hospice kicks in. No watching you suffer and die. When they put you on hospice, you get the shot that puts you to night night permanently with one shot. Family can't say shit about it. I guess you could say you change your mind though.

I can see circumstances where assisted suicide would be a good thing. I can also see how it can be abused. It's complicated.

If I ever get to the point where I can't ever get out of bed by myself and use the shitter.... I may be ready to end it all. And if I'm unable to get up and use the shitter, then I may need some help to end it all. That said, if I have a pretty nurse to take care of my bedpan and wiping my ass, I might consider living a little longer.

My grandmother decided to die. To achieve this she had them stop giving her food, water, and the meds she needed for pain.

She died but it took a week of suffering.

Despite the ugliness in your heart I would not wish this end on you.
