Hello, boys and girls, are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin.

Once upon a time, there was a man named, Alistair Cooke, a sound British chap who went to live in one the colonies, America.
Alistair became famous for his work at the BBC, mostly for a weekly show entitled, letter from America.
If you never listened to Mister Cooke, you missed out but, thanks to a lucky find or two, you now have a second chance.

The BBC link goes to a selection of his work.
It's wonderful.
