ALEC not Alec Baldwin has designed and passed hundreds — maybe thousands — of destructive bills have been passed quietly. ALEC has rebranded it self

AS MAGA for the purpose of operating under the radar.

Party goers gathered at the National Portrait Gallery in downtown D.C. for a lavish event celebrating the 50 anniversary of the American Legislative Exchange Council, known as ALEC.

It’s probably safe to say that outside of Washington, more Americans have heard of Alec Baldwin, the actor, than ALEC, the so-called conservative “bill mill.”

But everyone should know about it because for decades millions of Americans have been living under laws that ALEC had a direct hand in. And those laws are overwhelmingly friendly to corporations and disastrous for regular people.

Think about this: If Americans are behind bars in private prisons where you live, you can probably thank ALEC for that. If there are laws that make it hard for Black and brown Americans to vote where you live, you can thank ALEC.

If there are laws where you live that make it a crime to protest against polluters and climate change, thank ALEC. And more and more frequently in the post-Dobbs world, the same goes for laws that criminalize and curtail abortion rights.

ALEC has mastered the art of churning out cookie-cutter model bills that are adopted, often word for word, by conservative state legislatures. And it’s all bought and paid for by corporations and billionaires that are only too happy to help draft laws that are great for their bottom line and bad for us.

Incredibly, hundreds — maybe thousands — of bills have been passed this way.

Unfortunately there is more……

When you say "laws that make it hard for black or brown people to vote" are you saying "voter ID" requirements? The same requirements that "make it hard for black, brown, and white" to buy booze or to buy a plane ticket or to drive a car on the highway, etc.?

You should be equally concerned about AIPAC. This organization bribes members of both Parties by the $Millions but the Democrats get the lion's share of those bribes. This organization is very influential and has its grubby fingers on the inner workings of Congress (House & Senate) as well as the Presidency. They influence laws that affect policies both foreign & domestic.

I once did a week gig in New York City. Baldwin was in the front row. He was with a sleaze, and I'm fairly sure she was a call girl, but his attention was on this guy across from him.

I watched him as I played and saw he was getting heated. I even saw a few spit droplets come out of his mouth. Lol

So the music stopped and you could actually hear him almost shouting at the other guy. I was so close that you could hear him talking about firearms and his stance against them. It was sort of distracting because he was even loud while we were playing.

Our drummer shot him a nasty look, as if to say STFU. Baldwin noticed him and then started staring at the drummer. Our drummer shot him another bad glance. After our first set, our drummer asked him to keep it down. Baldwin went into a tirade and walked out the door.

We know that almost no one in Congress reads or writes anything in the Bills they vote on

Here's just one of the leftist versions:

bump ...........never believe if MAGA goes under all is well. Alec has been around since 1976 pumping dark dollars into campaigns mostly to the fake republicans and to a few status quo democrats.
