AK Furniture Swap

Not happy with the pull on my PSAK. So I have been shopping around.
My OEM trigger has a nice sharp break, the poundage is a little heavy but not annoyingly so, but it feels like a half an inch of pull before the break. I have been shopping for something else. There are some attractive drop in units, but I am not sold on them.
I've been very happy with the Tapco G2 but they have been discontinued.

The ALG Defense is good too. They have it in either curved or semi-straight. They are right spendy though at $115+.

Huh, I can't see where they offer the old curved trigger anymore.

I sure as hell can't justify the price difference. G2s sets were $29.00.

BTW, these make life a lot better instead of messing with a Shepard's hook. I ordered a few the other day when i used my last retaining plate.

I bought a PSAK barreled action when they first came out and it was a nightmare....Nothing seemed within spec.....I understand they are better now but no thanks.

That is wrong. That is Soviet communism.

This is socialism:

They still have a shaky reputation because of their startup days.
I'm at about 2k with mine and still doing fine. Was shooting up the last of my Tul on the last trip to the range and was hitting their 400 yd. metal without issues.

True. Magpul stocks seem to be a little heavy. There are better triggers but I can't see spending a couple hundred bucks on something that was just made to hit a man-sized target at 100 meters.

The best I could ever do is a 100 yard 4" group off a Caldwell Lead Sled weighted down with sandbags, using cheap steel-cased Russian ammo.

That's probably why I don't have a set of 7.62x39 reloading dies and brass cases. :laughing0301:

They laughed at me when I got my 3 die set in 7.62x39 from my LGS many years back , I’ve been saving reloadable brass ( I think I have around 200 + today )
