Agree? "If Putin is allowed to succeed in Ukraine, that threatens all of us." - UK's Ambassador to the U.S.

Countries aren't allowed to overthrow a Putin stooge? Why not?
Are they allowed to join NATO, or do they have to ask permission from Russia first?
Just listen to yourself, in a democracy Governments are changed by voting, the elected Government was overthrown what about that don't you get? thank's for confirming your Fascist credentials.

OMG!
That has never happened before in history, has it?

The whole interview is interesting, but that statement is at 17 45.

"If Putin is allowed to succeed in Ukraine, that threatens all of us, including the U.S., and it certainly emboldens China. And I dont think anyone in the U.S. wants to see that."

Let's analyze that. First of all, Joe Biden must not have been in the U.S. when she made that last statment, because Joe Biden just spent an entire presidential term embolding China as a side hustle to his job of POTUS.

Maybe someone can explain to me how Russia succeeding in the Ukraine threatens the U.S. more than Russia succeeding in the Crimea, which Democrats had no problem with Obama allowing?

Maybe they an explain to me why, if Trump is a Putin Puppet, Putin invaded Crimea under Obama, no country under Trump and then Ukraine under Biden.

I get that the Brits have a lot of nostalgia about the First World War and the Second World War. Suddenly, they were relevant again. They'd love to defend Fascists against Russia, instead of Russia against fascists, just for a change of pace.

But, really. Do they think anyone will be around to be nostalgic about World War III if they bring it about through the exact fucking same type web of interlocking defense pacts as got us into WWI and WWII?

But, I'm glad there is all this talk about Trump completely cutting off Ukrainian aid. Might be what is needed to get that little dictator to the negotiating table to save his country from complete anexation into Russia.

At 19:00, Ambassador Pierce resists the "journalist's" attempt to pull her into Trump derangement by saying that a pro-Russia figure "talks to Donald Trump." She tells the host that Trump is his own man, which are probably the truest words that could be strung together in English.

The Ukraine is not only historically Russian, but Kyiv used to be the capital of Russia.
It was only moved to Moscow due to the Mongol invasion of 1200 AD.

The Ukraine was part of Russia until the Treaty of Versailles illegally stole it in 1920 because the colonial imperialists wanted to punish the Bolsheviks.
The Crimea was part of Russia until Khrushchev the Ukrainian, gave it away in 1954.

Since the Ukraine used to have Russian nukes, it is inside the Russian defense grid.
That means Russia can never allow the Ukraine to join NATO.

Russian whining is a stubborn thing.
If the formerly enslaved nations of eastern Europe wanted to join NATO, I don't blame them.
Even if their membership makes Putin cry.

NATO is an evil organization of the same evil colonial imperialists who started WWI.
No eastern European nation was "enslaved" and it cost Russia to rebuild them, without Russia getting a cent back.

When ethnic Polish generals are bribed by Hunter Biden's cash deliveries, to destroy the democracy, it is not a good thing.
And we see the proof the Maidan coup of 2014 was evil, since the Azov Battalion went on a racist rampage murdering over 30k ethnic Russian natives of the Ukraine.

NATO is a defensive organisation and yes the USSR enslaved multiple nations

There is a long history in Europe of countries gaining and losing territories. Because of that, a continent whose people are normally as docile as farm animals, goes ferral once every twenty to one hundred year.

The question for me is whethe the United States, with far more reasonable people, want to get in between the latest pair of rabid dogs going at each other?

Any talk, on the part of the U.S. or of NATO, of having Ukraine join NATO has the purpose or result of provoking Russia.

The U.S. need to either get out of NATO, or acknowledge that NATO is just another name for the U.S. and its protectorates and announce that we make all decisions regarding NATO from now on.

No eastern European nation was "enslaved"

Cool story.
And they built the Berlin Wall to keep capitalists from moving into their Commie paradise.
Right?

NATO is a defensive organisation and yes the USSR enslaved multiple nations

Wrong.
The worst colonial imperialists in the world were England, France, and the US replacing Spain.
They deliberately started WWI by assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife, and invasion of southern Germany. They illegally starved Germany into surrender in WWI, and stole half of Germany with the evil Treaty of Versailles, which then also caused WWII.
NATO is the most aggressive and evil organization in the world.

And no, Russia did not make a cent off any of the nations they helped rebuild after WWII.

Commie idiocy is expensive.
Just look at how much Putin is wasting recently.

People were getting things like free college degrees to become doctors and lawyers in the east, and then crossing the border for higher paying jobs in the west, without repaying their tuition costs.

I don't hold much credence to the claim that if Putin succeeds in Ukraine, it will embolden him to go up against the neighboring nations. The neighboring nations to Ukraine are NATO members. An attack on any one of the NATO nations, is an attack on all and he would then be up against multiple nations and he's already been struggling against Ukraine and his military has shown itself to not be the hardcore juggernaut his government liked the world to think it was. NATO nations just need to make sure their nations continue to be well trained and supplied.

Putin has no choice since if the Ukraine were allowed to join NATO, then the US would put first strike nukes on Russia's border that they could not defend against.
This is 100 times worse than the Cuban Missile Crisis, which the US caused by putting nukes in Turkey.

Russia is huge and largely undeveloped, so the last thing Russia needs in more territory.
The reason for the fight over the Ukraine has nothing to do with territory, but instead is about the US wanting to put nukes on Russia's border, where Russia has no missile detection stations.

Wrong.
People were getting things like free college degrees to become doctors and lawyers in the east, and then crossing the border for higher paying jobs in the west, without repaying their tuition costs.

The smartest people in East Germany were escaping to West Germany.
That's awful!

How much closer do our nukes need to be to Russia?

Putin can't defend against the stuff in current NATO nations.

It is capitalism that is wasteful.
Not only do you have competition that puts good companies out of business, like Bill Gates did to Borland, but you have excessive profit skimming. With Communism, there is no one stealing profits off the top.
