After about 50 random samples of MTV, I found one I kind of like.

My new TV bundle came with MTV, so I'll tune in now and then and sample a video or two. They are almost ALL trash. OMG the girls seem like they are competing with who can be the sluttiest. This one by Ciara is clean, simple, nicely sung and I like the smooth way she dances. As always JMO.

I thought MTV was effectively being cancelled? Time was it was considered a premium channel.

About those videos: I once watch a Frank Zappa interview where he explained that music videos were a total ripoff by the studios who put all of the cost and blame for the video on the band making it.

I don't know anything about how the industry works. Zappa was also known for saying some outrageous stuff. He was cool though. Yeah I was surprised when MTV popped up on my TV. Man has it changed, used to be most of the videos were at least interesting. Now they are mostly just trash.
