Advertising. Is it possible to escape from its clutch?

On the internet, in airports, in sports arenas, on the radio, on billboards in the city, suburbs and highways, in bus stops, on television, on your cellphone, in magazines, in bars, and in certain public urinals.

I'm sure I missed a few places where this metastasizing scourge assaults our eyes and ears. Dare I say it's capitalism's response to the old-fashioned communistic or fascist practice of cult of personality.
