This appears to be something of a norm at these "LGBT pride" events. The fact that adults bring their children to events like this is sickening.

It makes me wonder what we can do to protect children from being groomed by pedophiles and potential predators at events like this, which I assume these events naturally attract like flies to honey:

A) is unfamiliar with what goes on at one ... OR

B) is familiar but doesn't have a problem exposing their child to it.

I will never understand what the point of a parade for anything is in the first place. At the end of the day, how are they any different compared to vehicles that already go up and down the roads and pedestrians who already go up and down the sidewalks? To me, the better thing to do to show a sense of unity where the common interest is concerned is to just take up a residency for whatever time is allowed at the local convention or community center and have a party there. Parades only make it harder for everyone else on the road anyway, due to whichever roads end up being blocked off due to the extracurricular parade that is about to take place.

P.S. The only difference that I can come up with right now is that during a parade everything included does look more festive unless people do decide to show up wearing only their birthday suits, I guess they are called, but still at the end of the day, what exactly gets accomplished? At least those who take part in the more normal parades, the ones that I mention at the beginning of my message here that is, are on their way to somewhere important enough. In other words, they are the parades that truly have no end.
