Saw him and Joe South often as a young teen in Atlanta's Community centers later in clubs , He was a gentleman to us young female fans. He liked to shoot pool at the center but ignored us young girls.

On October 6th, it will be ten years since we had to let go of him. I am ashamed to admit that his departure is how I came to officially discover him on my own. My mom loved him and so I knew some of his stuff, but not even my mom has gone as deep into his music as I did after I saw the news about his passing. I have just about everything from him that has been released.
