Hannah Arendt made a comment that shows a revelatory light on Trump and the nature of truth and fact.

It was, "This constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore.

A people that can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule
of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want."

- Hannah Arendt
(14 October 1906 – 4 December 1975) German historian and philosopher, in The Origins of Totalitarianism, and in her essay, "Truth and Politics".

We can no longer aspire to be a moral people if we can tell truth if we are a people of lies.

Prime Minister's Questions in London today mentioned that very issue as Great Britain now with France looks forward to assuming the mantle of Western Civilization and keeper and maker of the peace.

So where are all these “Trump lies”?

Denial isn't going to make the lies go away.
Telling the nation and the world that Joe was Mensa and could have won hundreds of thousands of dollars on Jeopardy for 4 years was as huge as a lie we can ever get.

Your picture is here, fool.

The fascist right thrives in an environment devoid of facts and truth.

It’s why conservatives pursue an agenda of disinformation and lies – to undermine our democratic institutions and hobble the political process to establish the tyranny of Republican minority rule.
