A Point Musk Has Not Considered

We need a genuine democracy more than ever now. We need a system where the public are permitted to participate in voting for specific policies and laws and the public permitted to define policies and laws that we can all vote on.

The US (like all the other fake democracies) is in fact a representative democracy (we are only allowed to vote for representatives not actual policies and laws) and is designed to exclude the people from participation in the decisions that affect the people just as the Greeks devised with their Athenian democracy.

Fuck Trump, fuck Musk, fuck the oligarchs.

How to look like a complete dork in a cattleman's hat wearing shades

Musk is a slob, has no style and doesn't even know he has no style or class (cattleman's hats with t-shirts with aviator shades are for dorks)

Democrats played a large role in this.......not just Democrats but yes, I blame them.
You are justified in blaming both parties. You're problem is you are very naive in thinking that just voting none of the above will get different results.

Do an analysis and show me the net benefit per capita in dollars, if you cannot then how can you support your claim? There are better ways to spend public money on the public.

Here's what we've spent

View attachment 1055927

That's about 2,000 bucks per person so far, what have we got back (in dollars please)? The primary beneficiaries are shareholders in contracting firms.
As I said, the space program has led to many tangible and intangible benefits to mankind. You may be able to break it down dollar wise and the tangible items but not the intangible ones. You are the side who is always touting up science and call the other side science deniers and yet, here you are, calling for the end of science.

Don't have to think. Many of them have said it. But, they negate it by saying we're not really spending 50 trillion dollars, we're actually saving money by spending 50 trillion.
How many $$$$ is our planet worth?

So, I'll put you down for being fine with spending 50 trillion more on top of the 36 trillion we already owe. Meanwhile, you attack Republicans for not being able to control spending.

And you think continually voting in the habitual liars will.

He hasnt even said he wanted to cut SS or medicare. He said it needed to be reformed.
Media duped millions. Again.
Dumbasses.
Cut SS/reform - same difference

I am all for it
But taxes have to be part of the equation

Decide on your spending and then set the tax rate accordingly
Balanced Budget
Total wages and salaries in the US in 2023 was $11 Tn.

Federal spending was $6.2 Tn.

You would be good with that tax rate?

All I'm saying is that you are extremely naive if you think voting for John or Jane Doe is a better choice. And, you're movement of not voting for the big two is getting smaller and smaller, the very opposite of what you want.

Yes, both Democrats and Republicans are just two different sides of the same coin but, obviously, people like you are going backwards, not forwards.

If you truly believe that doing the same thing over and over again and it isn't working, then you need to do something different yourself, don't you? What you've been doing isn't working.

Get a candidate that won't lie to us and I'll vote for them. I'm not against the two parties. I'm against those in them.

Not sure how that works but then neither do you.

I vote for the best candidate available.

All candidates lie. Sometimes you know it up front. Sometimes you don't find out until afterward. I've never seen one yet who doesn't "change their mind" about something after the fact. And, it depends on what your definition of a lie is. What if a Libertatian wins who you know didn't lie but promised to cut the deficit or national debt but then doesn't do it because of "Congress"? Is that a lie? If you vote for the best candidate availble then there is no doubt that you have voted for a liar many times.

All candidates lie.

Because they know you will vote to re-elect them anyway.

If a politician tries, actually tries but can't then that isn't a lie.

Now, say you will cut the deficit. Congress sends you a bill that raises it. Don't sign it. If they over ride your veto, you didn't lie, you tried. People then need to get rid of those who did that.

None of those I voted for lied to me.

I think our planet is worth whatever it takes

In the Navy we did a lot of shipboard fire fighting and damage control drills.

Know why?

Because when you are in the middle of the freaking ocean and your ship is sinking you have no where to go, better to keep if from sinking in the first place.

LOL. Of course many you voted for lied to you. That's why I said you are naive.
