So the most recent episode of New World Next week featured a red pill moment from Billy Corgan's podcast. I think I had heard that he had a podcast, but I never got around to checking it out. I should have much sooner.

It is one of the best out there, and makes Bill Maher's podcast seem like deep state propaganda.

If you are interesting in Epistemology, Ontology, deep politics, oh, and Hollywood and Rock & Roll, this one is for you.

Start with these two. Conrad Flynn has a sub-stack, I have not yet checked out. He was on Tucker and accepted the invitation to this one, and he and Corgan became philosophical comrades in arms. So much so, they did a follow up. Now I want to watch the Tucker interview, I missed that one.

Listen to Excited Delirium by Sturgill Simpson. It's everything great rock has always been.

I'm currently watching Corgan's interview of Corey Feldman. . . fascinating.

I watched the first one. I'll have to fine some time to watch the other two.

I currently really like watching:

The Owen Report (Owen Shroyer). I'm almost 100% in agreement most of the time.
Lilly Gaddis (Lilly Gaddis). About 95% in agreement.
Mark Dice (Mark Dice). About 95% in agreement.
Valhalla VFT (Nate Cornacchia). 98% in agreement on most issues.
Ian Carroll (Ian Carroll). Very informative. About 90% in agreement.
Redacted (Clayton & Natali Morris). Great site and great guests.
Tucker Carlson (Whom I agree with 80% of the time).
The Jimmy Dore Show (Jimmy Dore). A lefty on many issues but tells the truth about a lot of other things.
Breezy Politics. Awesome "shorts" exposing the evils of the Zionist State.
Breaking Points. Mostly left leaning but are perfectly willing to criticize Democrats who swim in the Swamp. Lots of good insight.

You got me curious, so I looked up "The Smashing Pumpkins" and I realize I heard several of their songs and didn't know it was by them, like this one:

They opened the tour for that album in my area. I was in the crowd to see that concert first.

They were awesome, it was an ages show.

Yup, this one is pretty good as well.

I noticed that Saagar Enjeti was on Tucker's podcast, I only got about fifteen minutes in last night before bed. I'll have to go and finish that one up.

I would say that rock music never died.
It is still alive on people's phones, computers, and on streaming TVs.
Today's pop music sucks bad.

When I first started listening to his pod-casts, I thought he was just getting into it for the love of the game and b/c pod-casts are popular now.

I did not know doing biographical interviews of musicians have always been an interest of Corgan's.

What Made Eddie Van Halen So Great at Guitar

Mar 3, 2025
"Billy Corgan sits down with Wolfgang Van Halen for a candid and far-reaching conversation about music, identity, and forging a creative path in the long shadow of one of rock’s greatest legends. Wolfgang opens up about his drive to earn every opportunity on his own merits, reflecting on the dual realities of carrying a famous name and longing simply to be recognized as a credible musician. He talks about his musical foundation—from pounding out blink-182 drum fills to honing a powerful and versatile lead vocal style—and how those early passions shaped the sound of Mammoth. He dives into the band’s whirlwind experiences supporting Metallica, the importance of maintaining a rock-solid live show without backing tracks, and the reality of navigating public scrutiny in the hyperconnected era of social media. Along the way, Wolfgang shares personal memories of his father, Eddie Van Halen, explaining both the encouragement and quiet expectations that fueled his ambition and helped him endure the commentary and comparisons that inevitably follow him and much more."
