3. On 10 May 1941, Hess made a solo flight to Scotland.

4. There is some disagreement about whether or not Hitler knew Hess was going to England.

Hess was what you would call, a little Kookoo for Koko puffs.

Hitler went into a rage when he found out what he had done, which was to try and attempt some sort of peace negotiations? Before this he had basically cut him off from any responsibilities because he was so unreliable and eccentric. I think that sparked his urge to try and do something great to move him up the pecking order of the Third Reich

Simply put, Hess was the Kamala Harris of the Third Reich.

I'm already pretty sure your theory is going to be interesting. Seriously! If you've made it your business to dig deeply into some facts concerning WW2, I think we're going to start finding a lot of common ground. Just be slow and cautious on how you present some facts.

Now let's hear this one!

PolChicy isn't saying yet but your theory could have upstaged her already?

It's just that your theory and her priorities don't seem to match quite yet?

Thank you.

Yes, Hitler did say that about his favorite.

But did Hess suddenly go crazy?

Why?

Oh, there's no doubt what happened. Hess thought he could talk the British into a peace so Germany could go off and attack the USSR.

In short, he was delusional.

But despite his closeness to Hitler at the beginning of the Nazi movement, by 1941, he had been supplanted in Hitler's favor by Goering, Goebbels, Bormann and others. He thought this would put him back in Hitler's favor.

There will be lots of interesting discussions taking place over WW2 now that America has found a possible way against Russia that could work. You must know that America considered using nuclear weapons on Russia at the end of the war.

So it just makes too much sense that America's objective didn't change over 80 years.

It was considered and rejected by sane people.

Yes, but I wanted it acknowledged that it was considered.
It was rejected as you suggest but that doesn't say that it wasn't America's goal!
And then America demonstrated it's goal for the following 80 years.

Trump blew the whistle on America Joe, when he declared that America is to blame for starting the war. Do you have an explanation for why he said that?

The question on the floor was why Hitler thought he could persuade the Brits to accept a treaty with him?

So far, none of the back-benchers have offered an appraisal.

Say 'please' and I might help.

And Russia was doing the same. Trump does not even know what day it is much less blame Biden with any credibility.

The question at hand was why Hitler would believe that he could persuade the Brits to join him in a treaty.

I have tried to advance this Socratic Dialogue, but, alas, the earlier participants don't have the requisite background in learning to participate....

....so I need to give this hint.

.…as Martin Amis put it, 'Bolshevism was exportable and produced near-identical results elsewhere. Nazism could not be duplicated. Compared to it, the other fascist states were simply amateurish' (Amis, 2002, p. 91).

This makes communism more dangerous than Nazism.

Nazism was based on blood and nationalism, so, could not be duplicated in nations like America, which is made up of so very many nations.

Now......can you surmise why Hitler imagined the Brits might be susceptible to his gambit?????

It seems like he sat out the war in the U.K. How did he end up in Spandau prison?
