As many of Americans know, there were no winners in the Friday night's drawing of the MegaMillions jackpot. Which means, the $1.6 million jackpot is up for grabs.

The odds of winning the top prize were 1 in 258,890,850. Since Mega Millions modified the formula, players now pick five numbers from 1 to 70 and a Mega number of 1 to 25. The odds of winning the jackpot are now 1 in 302,575,350.

I highly doubt there will be a single winner. But then again, anything can happen.

People who are bad at math, who don't understand how the chance of winning a prize in a lottery is typically worth about half what they pay for that chance.

Basically, it's a tax on stupid people.
