Small city near Houston, League City, sent officers to question a woman who had been involved in a minor accident and agreed with the other driver to not report it and let insurance sort it out. She was frightened, so she called her husband who advised her to not answer questions if the officers had no warrant.
They left, but later arrested the woman for failure to provide information at an accident and the husband for "impeding the officers ability to gather than information."
Of course they were misdemeanor charges at worst, but of course the police found it appropriate to arrest the couple at their home in front of their children and leave the children to fend for themselves.
Meanwhile . . . murderers, in the unlikely event they are caught, must now be released with no bail because of equity or something.
