That is false. What ultimately led to Pretti's death was three things. His inner rage at the failure of his own personal life. His decision to confront ICE again after his first encounter. And finally carrying a loaded, hair trigger gun that sadly went off which startled the officers into shooting him.

Gun had nothing to do with his death. Was Pretti culpable for his actions, yes. But he was legally allowed to CCW. He did not brandish that weapon. He was disarmed by some idiot who didn't communicate that he disarmed him. ICE was very heavy handed at their handling of Pretti.

Multipe truths can be present. ICE is culpable and so was Pretti. This isn't black and white or red and blue. A series of unfortunate events took place and if we can't all sit back and see that and want to point fingers at the opposite side, then our country is fucked.

Sure, but that doesn't deserve being shot over. Again, two truths can exist at the same time. Plenty of people are disarmed, whether they are legally allowed to carry or illegally carrying and not shot. Why, because they complied and the proper restraint was executed by the LEOs.

In this case we have a man carrying, while also breaking the law by obstructing and engaging with ICE.
We also have ICE engaging with citizens and physically escalating beyond what was needed with the lady they shoved to the ground and then the ganging up of Pretti.

Both sides escalated and it unfortunately led to a terrible tragedy.

Both sides are guilty and culpable. What is so hard to fathom about that?

It's now how to use the firearm, the greater benefit is understanding ramifications of using lethal force after the incident, justified or not.
