California is ground zero.

This is costing tens-of-billions every year.

All this while Gavin Newsom fiddles.

At age 69, Lynn Ianni is a pickleball whiz, zipping from dinks to drives energetically. When she suffered an injury on the court two years ago, she sought physical therapy, and was surprised to learn her Medicare insurance wouldn’t cover it.

She was, according to Medicare records, dying and in hospice.

“They said, ‘you're in hospice.’ And I said, ‘what? What are you talking about?” Ianni said. “‘Are you kidding me? Do I look like I’m in hospice?’”

Ianni’s Medicare number had been stolen, and used by a company to fraudulently enroll her in hospice – specialized, compassionate care for terminal patients nearing the end of their lives. It was another example of fraud in the hospice industry, long a nationwide problem. But her case arose well after officials had promised to stamp it out in California, where the problem has been especially acute.

...

The state says it proceeded to investigate and revoke the licenses of 280 hospices.

But since then, the problem has continued to fester. CBS News examined the business and financial records of every hospice currently operating in LA County, applying the same indicators identified by the state. Indications of fraud have not stopped. In fact, they’ve grown.

The CBS News analysis reveals that over 700 of the roughly 1,800 hospices in LA County, trigger multiple red flags for fraud as defined by the state.

This is happening in red towns and red states.

And Pam Bondi yawns, asks her secretary

What time is my appearance on Fox News tonight?

Everyone notices the massive kleptocratic fraud and treason except Pam Bondi....

All the fraud in MN, CA and NY is all Trump's fault. And if they keep finding more billions in fraud in all these blue states congress will have no choice but to impeach Trump for it. For the record, dumocraps are anti-fraud. Republicans are pro-fraud.

Why can't they have better fraud prevention?
They need to make the benefit system more secure.

Please find it, and point it out when you do.

Democrats have a penchant for leaving loopholes on their bill.
Look at Obamacare, while it was intended to increase healthcare affordability and access, it has significant criticism regarding structural flaws and "loopholes" that some argue have undermined its goals.
The GAO report found the system highly vulnerable to fraud, with billions of dollars in subsidies paid to ineligible applicants, including deceased individuals and those with duplicate Social Security numbers.

Can you name a specific case or are you going to rely on your predictable sense of entitlement to have your opinion counted as fact?

This is the local CBS news affiliate. They made a few calls and sent an actual human down to investigate the addresses. Could you imagine what would happen if any proper news organization did a full and deep investigation into this? It could and should blow the roof off the level of fraud happening in these places.

Minnesota is just the tip of the iceberg. This is why these programs should not exist in the first place.

These blue states are OK with fraud as long as it get's charged to Uncle Sam.

The MSM is good at presenting 30 second soundbites that also cover their ass from any liability from misstatements. When they do "go in depth" they quickly go off the rails and into the weeds.
