Sure - because these 14 million referred to as civil-war and political purges - according to you and Sahra Paine, the KMT had absolutely nothing to do with that.
Even the famine - which did cause millions of dead, was foremost caused by bad harvests and the necessity to export around 4.5 million tonnes of grain to collect foreign currencies to pay for debts to Russia and to import machinery.
Estimates range from 15 million to 30 million dead - so Shara and YOU naturally wrote 40 million.
BTW - The Soviets had also claimed that 7 million Americans had perished due to starvation and malnutrition during the Great Depression. So since someone claimed that, it MUST be true.

Bullshit. Even the CCP, in the 80s, admitted it was Maos fault. Hard to farm when you are being instructed by a totalitarian regime to switch to iron manufacturing, huh? Or individual farms forbidden? Or crops being eaten by insects because of a purge on insect animals? What about forcing much of the peon citizenry to switch from farming to manufacturing crap steel? And, you might want to read what Nixon said about Mao and Red China. Nixon was under no illusions about Mao's bloody, barbaric record.
Nixon went to China to try to get China to force North Vietnam to end the war and agree to a credible peace deal.
