Woods' comments carry no meaning.

• Reiner saved Woods' career by his own admission.
• Reiner never called Woods a dictator, a tyrant, and an evil akin to Adolf Hitler.

But had Woods been vocal about his support of Trump on Reiner's movie, I bet he wouldn't have been so nice to Woods.

If I had Reiner barking up my tree 24-7 ripping on me, trying to do a TV docu-series on what a terrible man I was, I would say bad things about Reiner too.

That's because you have no class, and neither does Trump.

James Wood is right. Other than spouting off on this site, I have many friends who love Trump. Doesn’t bother me in the least. You can disagree without being enemies. Political opponents are not enemies. James Wood was correct that we all have the same goals though our means may differ. Kudos to Mr. Woods for his words.

When President Trump made his petty Truth Social post about the loss of Rob Reiner, many of us on the political right swiftly commented on the Trump post. We were critical of what he said. We even agreed with some of our liberal fellow Board members about the inappropriateness of using that murder as a tool to make self-congratulatory statements about himself.

I’ve pondered that a couple of times since then.

Everything I knew about Rob Reiner (not including his politics) and about his love of film and of people in general made me think that he was almost certainly a good guy. And my revulsion at his politics and political commentary didn’t change that conclusion

Then, just a few moments ago, I saw an article about James Woods. I love what he had to say about the nasty anti-Reiner commentary.

So, I thought I’d share it. *
