In a remarkable—if likely controversial—feat, scientists announced today that they have created the first successful human-animal hybrids. The project proves that human cells can be introduced into a non-human organism, survive, and even grow inside a host animal, in this case, pigs.

They have been pulling this shit since my children were lil' ones. BABY FAE, WHO RECEIVED A HEART FROM BABOON, DIES AFTER 20 DAYS

Neither Baby Fae nor the baboon were anesthetized for this surgery. Think about that. The reason being they thought it might interfere with the results. Christiaan Barnard also did not believe in anesthetizing the baboons whose hearts he cut out. It was reported their screams drove many to resign their jobs with him.

Stolen records showed Baby Faye was never expected to live, although her parents probably did not know that. She was basically bleed to death because they drew blood in adult amounts.
