She was better educated than today’s average college graduate.

That math would destroy me. Despite a 165 IQ, math was always my weak point. I barely passed 7th to 12th grades due to math.

You can see the result of multiple generations of a public education phenomenon that remains today: If the kids are failing the current test, then there is nothing wrong with the kids, and nothing wrong with the teachers; it's the test that needs revision. After a hundred years of implementation, we see tests and education that are totally watered down so that the schools and teachers won't look bad.
